Meet Istvan

Istvan’s journey to Systema
Istvan’s passion for martial arts began in Hungary in 1992, where he studied Wing Tsun intensively for five years. After moving to London in 2006, he was introduced to an Indonesian/Malaysian Silat teacher, with whom he trained for nine years and became a senior student.
A meeting with Dr. Sam Benson, a senior Russian Systema instructor, changed Istvan’s life. Inspired by Systema’s ancient Russian principles and its focus on holistic health and well-being, Istvan travelled to Russia to complete demanding instructor development courses under the tutelage of world-class Systema instructors, including Valentin Talanov.
Today, Istvan is a certified Systema instructor and a passionate advocate for general health and well-being. He is also a certified Reiki master and Prasara yoga practitioner.
Istvan’s unique teaching methodology incorporates his extensive experience in various martial arts and disciplines. He is committed to helping his students develop the skills and confidence they need to defend themselves, improve their physical and mental health, and live their best lives.
